Hampton Court Palace (opposite No.2 Palace Gate)
The largest, most significant and magnificent Tudor building left in England, covering 6 ½ acres (2.6 ha) of ground set in wonderful gardens. It played host to every English monarch from Henry VIII to George II. One day is not enough.

A Royal Park with some 300 Red and Fallow deer roaming naturally.

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (8 miles)
326 acres (132 ha) of wonderful walks and views, massive greenhouses and even a small royal palace. With some 50,000 plant species it is one of the most scientifically important botanical collections in the world as well as a lovely place to send the day.
